My digital meeting with Mr. Martinez, In my Dutch blog I wrote about my England trip and my inspiration, that is there for the taking. In our Guesthouse in Durham there was a small painting near the breakfast room that caught my attention. As an artist you always think of your fantasy in your next work and that's how I saw in those 2 girls who have to represent sisters and are getting dressed, Sisters Dressing is the name of that painting..They reminded me of my own Blue and Scarlet. At that time I couldn't find out the name of the artist, but I had a nice idea to make a copy of that painting, but in my own style. And because Blue and Scarlet are my illustration figures, I went to make it digital. Also because I had more fun ideas for this "copy"When I wrote this blog, I was, not even 1 week back from beautiful England and my illustration /drawing has been madeTo prevent me from rights of a third party was going to use, I only copied the attitudes of the girls, the rest was made entirely to my hand and fantasyi enjoyed ityou see outside the lighthouse and inside the cozy of a room in a cottage with a cat on the windowsill, an old blue-orange painted and sanded cupboard and also plantsit didn't stop with this one, my story got bigger and that's the great thing about procreate, the drawing got bigger and the sisters Jade and Candy with Heidi appear in the picture watching the big girls have work with their dressing and don't really understand the attention about it,Because of my enthusiasm and because every work of mine has a story, I really wanted to know who that artist is.. I thought of someone from the time of van Gogh I must admit that because I have not studied art, I have not had any art history , don’t know many artists and so I went to the exto forum for adviceI got a very good tip and I was very happy with that. Via google lens I found my answerEdward MartinezHe is not an artist from Van Gogh's time, he is still alive today and is Argentinian. He is even younger than me😂I'm one of those people who went to fill out a contact form on his website and asked if he didn't mind that I made some kind of copy of his work.A few hours later, I received an enthusiastic email back. He liked my work. "Well done keep it up". he wrote. He wrote a long email back and I was a little honored about that. He has now started using a different painting technique. He is still a realistic artist, but to be honest I like the style of his sisters dressing better, but that is a matter of taste and that is because I just like to choose nostalgia as a subject. My work has now received such a beautiful story that of course I started writing a blog about it. And made my visit to Durham even more special.and all because of a small painting hidden somewhere near the breakfast room in an old guesthouse in Durham. Very nice. hi everyone :)

Me and my fiancee are looking for someone to do us a couple of drawings for our wedding. We'd like one of us in our wedding dresses and capes and one with both of us in the TARDIS.

We're looking for someone who can actually draw, we will consider digital art but pencil drawings are preferred. Absolutely no anime or similar style.

We're willing to pay up to £10 for both drawings, not looking for anything complicated or particularly time consuming. Would want them by the end of June, can send a few photos for references. Will be more than happy to write a journal promoting you, will post links ect on facebook, twitter, tumblr, google+ if you'd like more business.

Please note me if interested.

Hello! Thought some arty people in the North might be interested in a degree show fundraiser myself and classmate have organised in Carlisle for the 17th April. It's a Comedy event, 6 comedians for £5 (4.50 conc. and £6 on the door). It would be a HUGE help if you guys could help boost this to anyone that might be interested. Thanks a lot!

Glad to be in the group.
Will post a couple tonight to see if I can get to grips with what seems a complex navigation system.
